Treatment with Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten teeth over time. Each pair of Invisalign aligners is worn for several weeks. Then, they are swapped out for a new pair.
To prepare for Invisalign treatment, Dr. Cain takes dental impressions which are used to create the custom aligners. He sends the impressions to a dental lab, where multiple sets of aligners are made. Once the aligners are complete, Dr. Cain will make sure that the first pair fits your smile.
The length of your Invisalign treatment will vary on your orthodontic needs as well as how you care for your aligners. Remove your Invisalign aligners to eat, drink, brush, and floss. When you have completed Invisalign treatment, Dr. Cain will give you a retainer to keep your smile in place.
Treatment with Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles focuses on the teeth that show when you smile. Focusing on this part of the mouth means that patients will have a much shorter treatment time than they would with other types of braces or even Invisalign treatment.
To begin treatment with Six Month Smiles, Dr. Cain will take dental impressions of the teeth. With these impressions, Dr. Cain can then use CAD/CAM technology to fabricate your clear braces. Once the braces are complete, Dr. Cain will attach them to your smile. Six Month Smiles uses clear brackets and tooth-colored wires that are more subtle than traditional metal braces.
Once your teeth are realigned, we recommend that you visit Dr. Cain every six months to keep track of your results. Dr. Cain will also provide you with a retainer to wear at night. Wearing this retainer keeps your teeth straight and helps prevent relapse.
