All-On-Four Dental Implants Knoxville, TN

What options do I have if I am suffering from tooth loss?

Tooth loss is a common dental issue among adults, so it is important to have a stable system in place to help give those patients their smile back. All-On-Four is a revolutionary new system that allows patients to receive a full bottom or top arch of teeth with as little as four dental implants. All-On-Four dental implants have made it possible for patients missing a full arch, or a full set of teeth to enjoy the long term benefits of dental implants. All-On-Four is great for patients who want a more stable and permanent solution than unsecured dentures. The dental implant is able to securely fuse into the jaw bone, causing a stable foundation for your new teeth.

This unique treatment approach can bring back full function without the need for daily maintenance, dietary restriction and garbled speech that often accompany traditional dentures. Once your implants and jawbone are properly fused, it prevents further bone loss. Patients who receive All-On-Four benefit from:

  • Improved speech
  • Prevents further bone loss
  • Easier chewing
  • Strong and stable teeth

All-On-Four is not only an efficient way to replace your missing teeth, but it can often be made available to patients who have diminished bone structure and may not qualify for traditional dental implants. This allows for more patients to become eligible for a procedure that can help restore your smile and stabilize long term oral health. Knoxville, TN periodontist Dr. Robert Cain will work with you to restore comfort, functionality and beauty to your smile.

All-on-Four Secured Dental Bridges and Dentures

Patients who have traditional dentures or dental bridges can possibly suffer from slippage, resulting in a less confident smile. All-On-Four helps patients get their confidence back by properly securing their dentures or bridges into place. All-On-Four allows dentures and bridges to securely attach to the jaw bone, providing a stable, functional surface for their dentures or bridges. Patients can speak, chew, and eat comfortably without worrying about slippage.

The All-on-Four Procedure

It is possible to have the All-On-Four treatment completed in just one visit with proper, thorough treatment planning. If necessary, the appropriate teeth will be removed, implants will be put in place, and you will be given a temporary dental bridge. Dr. Cain will use advanced 3-D technology to accurately take an image of your gums, jaw, and teeth. With 3-D imaging, Dr. Cain can precisely place your dental implants. Once Dr. Cain finds the best placement for the implants, he will carefully place the post strategically in the jaw. In order for your new bridge, denture, or crown to be placed, the post must fuse with the jaw bone. Once fused, Dr. Cain will work with a local dentist to fabricate and securely place your new dental restoration for a new smile that will give you back your quality of life.

All-on-Four Implants FAQs

How long do All-On-Four implants last?

There are two main parts of All-On-Four implants to consider when it comes to replacement due to age. The four implant posts that are surgically placed will last a lifetime, and will not need to be replaced if not damaged. The denture attachment however will need to be replaced after about 15 years. Most patients do not need replacements.

Are All-On-Four implant dentures removable?

No. This prosthesis may look like it can be removed, but it is not meant for the patient to be able to remove it. Your dentist can remove it for a couple of reasons, but it will not be removed at each and every dental exam. Trying to remove it yourself can cause damage to your gums, jawbone, and the restoration itself.

Can food get stuck under All-On-Four?

It is very rare for food to get stuck under your All-On-Four restoration, but it can happen. Sometimes, your gum tissue can change during or right after the fabrication of your All-On-Four restoration. This can create very small areas between the prosthesis and your gums where food can accumulate. Use a Waterpik or similar to routinely clean under your prosthesis. Schedule an appointment to have the All-On-Four implants restoration adjusted.
